ICS is the source for BIM-ready product information.
We are the BIM specialist working between BPMs, software makers, and the AEC industry.
Our innovative approach allows us to bridge communication between Building Product Manufacturers (BPMs) and the general AEC industry, resulting in high-quality, accurate models for usage within BIM projects. We view our process as key to our success – and our client’s success. We strive to understand our clients’ needs before we begin development, ensuring on-target results. This commitment includes the following steps:
Initial Contact – We begin by listening to information about a client’s industry, product requirements, and requests, ensuring we understand all product and project requirements from the client’s and content user’s perspective.
Information Gathering – Next we compile product information, such as engineering data, drawing files, spec sheets, and LEED/Green data. Then we crunch this information to fully define the project scope and product application. Our team defines possible deliverables and options for content deployment as well as the project scope, while ensuring conformity to industry standards.
Project Scope and Quotation Development – Meeting with the client in person or via webcast, we outline the content application and best practices to be utilized, review possible deliverables, options for content deployment, and discuss development of the project quotation.
Project Scope Presentation – To ensure mutual understanding and acceptance of the project parameters, we present an overview of the deliverables, timeline, and content deployment plan. At that time, we present the contract and mutual marketing documents for final approval.
Content Development – Once the project has been officially accepted, we begin development of products under the agreed-upon project scope, as well as any additional data for options in content deployment and marketing. ICS follows strict standards and proven best practices developed and published in conjunction with Autodesk to ensure product models are produced with the highest level of quality and functionality.
Content Delivery – Upon delivery of the product, we provide clients with a quality assurance review document, as well as a follow-up webcast to answer any questions regarding our deliverables.
Publishing of Content to 3rd Party Libraries – After client content verification and acceptance, we then deliver the final product to third-party hosting services, such as Autodesk® Seek, McGraw-Hill Sweets®, and RevitDrop. We verify with our client that content has been properly deployed and published.
Project Wrap up – At the end of every project, we invite clients to participate in a discussion of the project and, if needed, identify next steps for future content development.
